About the role
Responsibilities
- Set workload volume to maximize equipment and manpower usage for consistent workflow
- Train new employees and cross-train existing staff on departmental tasks
- Communicate daily workflow requirements as planned by the supervisor
- Provide feedback regarding procedure changes, safety concerns, or equipment needs
- Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, swing reach, and order pickers
- Physically move truck parts using proper equipment or by hand
- Assist the supervisor in overseeing all departmental activities
- Utilize D-View, SAP, Cognos, and Microsoft Office to support operations
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an automated warehouse environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead by example within an empowered team
- Proficiency in operating material handling equipment
- Excellent basic arithmetic skills
- Familiarity with D-View warehouse management systems
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
- Comprehensive understanding of warehouse operations and safety requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours based on coverage requirements
