Receiver/Cook

Responsibilities

• Receive and check in food and nonfood deliveries, ensuring proper storage, temperature safety, and accurate weights
• Conduct daily inventories, rotate stock, and maintain organized storage areas using bin/shelf systems
• Process invoices and maintain accurate stock levels within dining operations
• Prepare proteins, vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients for daily meal production
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and quality food production
• Maintain sanitation standards by cleaning work areas, including coolers, storerooms, and loading docks
• Act as a driver for transporting items between units as necessary

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of food preparation experience
• Knowledge of food storage requirements, inventory tracking, and volume food preparation
• Proficiency in various cooking methods, safe food handling, and standard recipe measurements
• Valid driver's license with the ability to obtain a college driver's license within three months
• Ability to complete ServSafe Managers training within 90 days of hire
• Basic computer and data entry skills for ordering and inventory management
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 150 lbs, and stand for long periods
