Receivables Specialist

Responsibilities

• Process student account payments, departmental deposits, scholarship deposits, and reimbursements
• Monitor and reconcile university online payment processors and payment plan providers
• Manage federal loan funds in strict compliance with federal regulations and institutional policies
• Oversee collections for past-due federal loans, including student counseling and skip tracing
• Act as a primary liaison with third-party student loan servicers and collection agencies
• Manage entrance/exit interview processes and National Student Loan Data System reporting
• Assist with annual loan fund and collection agency audits

Requirements

• 2 years of customer service experience, including cashiering/money handling and accounts receivable
• High school diploma or GED
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Ability to perform 10-key by touch
• Willingness to become a notary at the university's expense

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in collections
• Banking experience as a Teller or Customer Service Representative
• Experience working with loan programs
