Reality Capture Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead the capturing and processing of photogrammetry, Gaussian splats, LiDAR scans, and drone aerial imaging.
• Support pre-production visualization, production shoots, and digital twin efforts.
• Manage photogrammetry technicians in the field to ensure high-quality, efficient captures and equipment maintenance.
• Perform rapid Gaussian splat capture and processing of locations during scouts.
• Operate various scanners including laser line, structured light, and photometric stereo.
• Work closely with the Photogrammetry Processing Lead to ensure data integrity and fidelity.
• Research and develop emerging technologies related to capture gear and post-processing.
• Document workflows and captures for archival and training purposes.
• Perform in-field quality control of data before returning from locations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience in LiDAR and photogrammetry.
• 6+ years of camera field work experience.
• 2+ years of drone capture experience.
• FAA 107 licensed drone pilot.
• Extensive understanding of Unreal Engine and real-time applications.
• Expert knowledge of photography, lighting, and scanning technologies.
• Deep understanding of post-scan data processing pipelines.
• In-depth knowledge of machine learning reconstruction techniques such as NeRFs and Gaussian Splats.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and walk up to 3 miles.
• Valid passport for international travel and ability to travel on short notice.

Preferred Qualifications

• Coding capability to assist in refining and automating processes.
• Experience with digital video production, cinematography, or post-production environments.
