Real Time BOP Analyst

Responsibilities

• Monitor real-time data for surface and subsea BOPs, including pressure trends, volume consumption, and trend anomalies.
• Analyze data trends to identify potential concerns, predict failures, and provide root cause analysis for equipment failures.
• Investigate and respond to alarm system messages specific to the BOP stack.
• Provide remote engineering support for pressure testing, including reviewing rig drawings and developing optimized test plans.
• Communicate observed anomalies or unexpected trends clearly to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of hardware, maintenance actions, and trend analysis.
• Review field daily reports and rig forecasts to proactively identify ways to improve operations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a subsea engineer with a major drilling company.
• Hands-on experience with major subsea BOP systems.
• In-depth knowledge of surface and subsea BOP-related regulations, including CFRs, Std 53, and API standards.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electro-hydraulic circuit diagrams.
• Strong analytical thinking skills with the ability to troubleshoot using real-time data trends.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a 14/14 rotation in Houston, TX, including nights and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid WellSharp Awareness-Level certification or above.
• OEM BOP Equipment Training certification.
• Experience with multiple BOP stacks (e.g., NOV, GE, Cameron).
• 7-10+ years of subsea engineer experience, including roles as a subsea supervisor or Senior subsea.
• Experience in real-time data monitoring, digital pressure testing, or remote technical support roles.
