Real Estate Paralegal

Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of commercial real estate financing and acquisition transactions
• Review and analyze title documents, surveys, and zoning reports, summarizing findings for attorney review
• Prepare title and survey objection letters, seller response letters, and due diligence summaries
• Coordinate with title companies, surveyors, and zoning companies to resolve issues and negotiate coverage
• Draft escrow instructions, conveyance documents, and ancillary loan documents
• Review and prepare lease abstracts and maintain related databases
• Order and review UCC, litigation, and bankruptcy searches
• Support attorneys with closing logistics, including managing checklists, assembling final documentation, and handling post-closing processes

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in commercial real estate transactions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Paralegal Certificate
• Experience within an AmLaw 100 firm or comparable corporate legal environment
• Familiarity with document management and closing software
