About the role
Responsibilities
- Negotiate and draft office and retail leases and purchase and sale agreements
- Work with outside counsel and internal departments including finance, corporate, and tax
- Advise on land use, governmental approvals, permits, and real estate aspects of M&A
- Draft construction, architect, professional services, and supply agreements
- Counsel on issues arising under supplier contracts
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience
- Active membership in the California Bar
- Strong verbal, writing, and presentation skills
- Strong leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to drive transactions
- Ability to focus and cut through complexity to distill important issues
