Real Estate Analyst

Responsibilities

• Support the core and structured mortgage loan origination process through economic, borrower, and market analysis
• Assist in reviewing, quoting, negotiating, and underwriting new loan opportunities
• Collaborate with the mortgage broker network and borrowers to secure underwriting information and facilitate deal closings
• Prepare committee presentations and review third-party reports
• Monitor the existing loan portfolio in collaboration with Loan Servicing, Portfolio Analytics, and Asset Management teams
• Build and maintain professional relationships with industry leaders, brokers, and borrowers

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Commercial Real Estate, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in the commercial real estate field, specifically in analysis and origination of core and structured mortgage loans
• Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong understanding of commercial real estate valuation, cash flow analysis, and market risk drivers

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA with a concentration in a related field
• Experience in life insurance company mortgage lending
• CRI or CFA designation
