Reading Instructor

Responsibilities

• Help students achieve improved standardized testing scores in reading
• Establish student/instructor rapport and create a positive classroom atmosphere
• Maintain accountability and documentation of student attendance, performance, and behavior
• Deliver instruction using provided curriculum and develop new resources as needed
• Integrate applied academic activities into classroom curriculum
• Track student performance and assist in setting academic goals
• Adhere to data integrity measures related to instruction and testing

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Teaching certification in the state of location
• Knowledge of the required subject area
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of teaching experience with disadvantaged youth
• Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification
