REACH Program Counselor

Responsibilities

• Serve as a teaching assistant and support instructor-led academic programming
• Lead electives, recreational activities, and enrichment programming
• Support camp administration and daily operations
• Serve as a positive role model for REACH students
• Provide guidance and supervision to individual students and student groups
• Foster student engagement through positive encouragement and motivation

Requirements

• High school junior (Class of 2027) or senior (Class of 2026) status
• Strong high school academic record
• Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and professionalism
• Ability to work collaboratively with supervisors and peers
• Ability to relate effectively to middle school-aged students
• Commitment to work the entire 6-week summer session

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with middle school-aged students
• Proficiency in Spanish
• Specific skills, talents, or interests that can enrich student programming

Benefits

• Weekly compensation of $325.00
• $100.00 bonus for returning counselors
• Professional development and college readiness sessions
• Room and board provided at no cost for the overnight session (Fordham University or University of Scranton)
• Round-trip transportation provided for the overnight session
