R&D Thin Films Process Development Engineer

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve assembly process issues using structured methods such as failure analysis, FMEA, 8D, and SPC/FDC
• Lead process, equipment, and material evaluations to implement improvements at the process step level
• Drive yield improvement, cost reduction, and productivity initiatives across manufacturing lines
• Validate and scale new process baselines, tools, and materials for new product introduction
• Manage and audit suppliers to support internal and external audits and site-to-site process portability

Requirements

• 7+ years leading critical projects with measurable business and technical impact
• PhD, Master's, or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• Hands-on experience with failure analysis, FMEA, SPC/FDC, or similar methodologies
• Proven ability to analyze data and implement process improvements
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing environments
• Familiarity with APC, RMS, or automated process control systems
• Experience with new product introduction and process qualification
• Experience working with supplier quality management and audits
