About the role
Responsibilities
- Support R&D Engineering activities including specification, procurement, installation, and validation of new equipment and molding processes.
- Assist in the design and procurement of new equipment and support process development, characterization, and optimization.
- Execute validation document generation, including risk assessments and commissioning/validation documents.
- Maintain R&D Engineering equipment, including molding, curing, metrology, cleaning, and packaging systems.
- Perform molding machine set-ups, tooling changes, and preventative maintenance.
- Liaise with external suppliers and contractors to coordinate onsite activities and obtain quotations.
- Provide first-response technical support for R&D Engineering processes and utilities equipment.
- Investigate and document process issues, reporting findings and solutions to the Engineering team.
- Ensure compliance with Quality Systems, Health & Safety, and environmental requirements.
Requirements
- Level 7 Engineering or Technical qualification.
- 3-5 years of experience in a technical role within the Medical Device industry.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic equipment.
- Knowledge of ISO, FDA, and GMP standards.
- Technical competence in operating and repairing highly automated equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work on own initiative.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ or more years of experience in the Medical Device industry.
- Familiarity with robotics, PLCs, and vision systems.
- Experience using Veeva, Maximo, and Teamcenter.
- Understanding of networks and basic troubleshooting skills.
