R&D Team Lead

Responsibilities

• Manage personnel conducting daily operations for MQ, design, Science & Technology (S&T), and development manufacturing activities.
• Partner with design, product, and process engineers to evolve manufacturing techniques and improve yields.
• Collaborate with S&T and Design organizations on problem-solving, modeling, and conducting experimental work.
• Oversee the application of engineering methods to develop or demonstrate new designs, machines, products, or systems.
• Serve as a technical backup for product and process engineers when necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and five years of directly relevant experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Active DOE Q clearance (or equivalent) required to start.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Ability to work onsite in Albuquerque, NM.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior leadership experience in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment.
• Experience with nuclear weapons or the Neutron Generator Enterprise.
• Experience with product realization processes and process development.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple programs and projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to participate in Lean Six Sigma programs and achieve Green Belt certification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and presentations.
