R&D Tax Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist advisory services on R&D tax reliefs to clients, acting as the final escalation point.
• Lead and manage a team of five, fostering knowledge transfer and professional growth.
• Oversee complex R&D tax claims and manage high-level client projects.
• Cultivate strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention.
• Stay updated on industry trends and collaborate cross-functionally to support business development and quality standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in R&D tax or a similar field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or management role.
• Proven experience interacting with HMRC.
• Strong knowledge of R&D tax credits, including SME and RDEC schemes.
• STEM or Finance degree.
• Excellent analytical, project management, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• ATT/CTA qualifications.
• Project management certifications such as APM or PRINCE2.
