R&D Solutions Engineer

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical interface for major USG projects, translating system capabilities into mission-ready solutions
• Lead the "R&D to Ops" pipeline by designing plans for NEI and SDA data collection
• Implement Python software to operationalize capabilities for the Space Imagery Analyst team
• Utilize STK and Python-based libraries to model complex satellite encounters and optimize sensor tasking
• Research and implement novel analysis techniques and data visualization methods for the HEO Inspect platform
• Direct technical development of GEO mission frameworks and optimize LEO operational capabilities
• Rapidly develop minimum viable products and experimental features for USG customer feedback
• Lead technical evaluation of potential subcontractors

Requirements

• 10+ years of industry experience in space mission analysis, orbital mechanics, or satellite operations
• Experience supporting the US Intelligence Community (IC) or DoD
• Demonstrated expertise in non-recurring engineering (NRE)
• Advanced proficiency in Python for data analysis
• Expert-level experience with STK or similar high-fidelity orbital modeling software
• Deep background in LEO/GEO mission operations or ground segment software development
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field
• Ability to obtain or maintain a US government Top Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance
