R&D Project Manager - Laser Technologies

Responsibilities

• Propose innovative solutions related to the latest developments in the laser field and participate in technological monitoring
• Manage projects including planning, reporting, and budget tracking
• Conduct tests, characterize results, and write technical reports
• Create demonstrators and small series of watchmaking components
• Collaborate with R&D team members and partner departments (industrialization, quality, operations) to ensure optimal integration of new laser processes into production flows
• Actively collaborate with external partners such as research laboratories, universities, and technology suppliers to accelerate innovation

Requirements

• Engineering degree (HES, EPF, Master, or equivalent) in applied physics, materials, optics, or a related field
• Mastery of laser processes including cutting, machining, and engraving
• Strong knowledge of laser-matter interaction and associated physical phenomena
• Practical experience with laser equipment (operation, basic maintenance, parameter setting, optical setup, and beam characterization)
• Technical project management skills
• Knowledge of dimensional and topographical characterization of watchmaking components
• Ability to communicate clearly and synthetically in both French and technical English
• Strong analytical skills, autonomy, and a sense of innovation
