About the role

About the Company

Cambridge GaN Devices (CGD) is a fabless semiconductor company and a spin-out of the University of Cambridge. We develop energy-efficient GaN-based power devices to enable greener electronics and more sustainable power solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for product development and public-funded R&D projects
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver new or upgraded products
  • Support projects through the full lifecycle from concept to completion
  • Track and evaluate project performance using modern methodologies
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality metrics
  • Lead project review meetings and communicate status to stakeholders
  • Maintain project documentation and coordinate bid-writing for public-funded projects

Requirements

  • Master's degree in engineering or science
  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in a growing technology organization
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment
  • Strong organizational and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Willingness to travel to partners in Europe, Americas, and Asia

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal project management training (PRINCE2/PMI)
  • Knowledge of semiconductor or power electronics development
  • Experience with UK or European public-funded industrial research projects
