R&D Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new mechanical hand tools while meeting quality, cost and time targets
• Create concepts, feasibility studies, physical prototypes, detailed drawings, and assembly drawings
• Execute feasibility, verification, and validation tests and evaluate results
• Carry out engineering analysis including FEA, tolerance analysis, and stress analysis
• Assist with analysis and resolution of customer quality issues
• Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional project teams, suppliers, and customers
• Deploy Design for Six Sigma and technical risk management tools

Requirements

• 3+ years experience as R&D Mechanical Engineer
• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (BSc, MSc)
• Proficiency in 3D-CAD and technical drafting, preferably SolidWorks
• Hands-on experience with shop equipment, machine tools, and 3D printers
• Expertise in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Design for Six Sigma
• Strong English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with consumer products and mechanism design
