R&D Manager - Robust Systems Analysis

Responsibilities

• Lead the Robust Systems Analysis Department within the Secure AI systems Group to develop foundational AI security research and applications.
• Partner with the management team and the Threat Intelligence Community (TIC) to implement vision and strategies for AI security capabilities.
• Build and cultivate relationships with internal organizations, external customers, and federal agencies.
• Collaborate with mission and capability managers to prioritize AI security needs and high-impact areas.
• Champion a culture of diversity, equality, and inclusion through active leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and eight (8) years of directly relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and scientific/engineering experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q and SCI security clearance, which may require a polygraph test.
• Ability to work onsite in Albuquerque, NM.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years of demonstrated leadership experience.
• Graduate degree (MS or Ph.D.) in science or engineering.
• Proven ability to lead cross-organizational teams in a highly matrixed environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for developing trust-based relationships and delivering technical presentations.
• Record of scientific contribution, innovation, and experience with business or program development.
• Existing relationships within the technical community or awareness of ongoing developments in AI security.
