About the role
Responsibilities
- Design innovative hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems for heavy lift and transport equipment
- Manage the full R&D lifecycle from initial idea and concept phase through development and production
- Create detailed engineering documents including schematics, CAD models, fabrication drawings, and maintenance manuals
- Develop test plans and participate in the execution of testing for newly designed equipment
- Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting for equipment during field operations
- Coordinate with fabrication departments and field personnel to ensure design implementation and quality
- Procure components by liaising with suppliers and subcontractors
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience designing hydraulic and control systems for mobile equipment
- Advanced proficiency with hydraulic components (pumps, motors, cylinders, valves) and electrical components (PLCs, VFDs, actuators)
- Proficiency with CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD Mechanical, or AutoCAD Electrical
- Experience with electronic controls software like IQAN or similar
- Strong troubleshooting skills for hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Ability to travel to job sites and work in outdoor or hazardous environments
- Must pass a drug test, background check, and fit-for-duty assessment
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- OSHA 10 certification
