R&D Engineer/Scientist II

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new technologies for aircraft propulsion engines, power systems, and related components
• Perform aerodynamic and structural analysis to support product development
• Interpret and understand CFD results, perform post-processing, and prepare detailed analysis reports
• Propose suitable design changes based on CFD analysis findings
• Develop engineering tools and scripts for pre/post-processing and solver automation
• Collaborate with product architects, product managers, and Chief Engineers
• Innovate new technology insertions into products to meet changing market trends

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from a reputed university
• Industrial experience in aerospace components analysis, preferably with aero engines
• Hands-on experience in aerodynamic analysis and a strong understanding of gas turbine engine components
• Proficiency in Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Turbomachinery, and Numerical Methods
• Expertise in interpreting CFD results and conducting Finite Volume Analysis
• Experience working with geographically distributed stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Practitioner-level expertise in ANSYS (Fluent & Static Structural) and StarCCM+
• Proficiency with CAD NX
• Programming or coding skills in Python or other relevant platforms
• Experience in mechanical simulation tools and automation scripting
