R&D Engineer, Senior

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and own new capabilities in RedHawk-SC, a distributed big-data analytics platform for power integrity and reliability analysis.
• Write production-quality, efficient, and scalable C++ code to handle large semiconductor datasets and complex IC architectures.
• Diagnose and resolve software defects, including performance bottlenecks, memory issues, and algorithmic inefficiencies.
• Build unit, regression, and system-level tests to ensure reliability across distributed processing environments.
• Optimize tool runtime and memory usage for advanced designs, including FinFET, 3D-IC, and stacked-die architectures.
• Collaborate with technical leads and product managers to refine requirements and deliver features for customer design closure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's with 2+ years of experience also considered).
• 2+ years of hands-on experience writing high-performance C++.
• Strong proficiency in data structures, algorithms, and debugging techniques.
• Working knowledge of Linux operating systems and development workflows.
• Understanding of electronic design at the gate or transistor level.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python for scripting, automation, or tooling.
• Background in distributed processing or large-scale commercial software development.
• Experience with ASIC power delivery network simulation.
