R&D Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement firmware and software updates for telemonitoring devices
• Develop and maintain observation software for real-time video, audio, and sensor data
• Optimize video and audio streaming protocols to reduce latency
• Enhance user interface and data dashboards for clinicians
• Assemble, test, and troubleshoot hardware including sensors and microcontrollers
• Design telemonitoring hardware including PCB layout and power management
• Provide technical support and assist in device deployment at healthcare facilities
• Analyze device performance data to identify areas for improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics
• 2-3 years of professional experience
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
• Experience assembling and troubleshooting hardware (sensors, microcontrollers, wireless modules)
• Understanding of hardware design principles (microcontrollers, FPGAs, DSPs, PCB schematics)
• Familiarity with wireless protocols like Bluetooth or Wi-Fi is an asset

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field
