About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform instrumentation, DCS, and electrical preventive maintenance and repair work
- Coordinate weekly work schedules with the R&D team to maintain equipment availability
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and critical preventive maintenance findings
- Assist in developing and implementing reliability centered maintenance strategies
- Support project portfolio implementation via Management of Change
- Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, install, and calibrate instrumentation equipment including transmitters, valves, and flow meters
- Perform wiring and termination of low voltage control circuits and instrumentation circuits
- Identify electrical hazards, shock risks, and arc-flash boundaries
- Develop loop, wiring, and panel drawings and electrical schematics
Requirements
- Ability to read and execute changes based on electrical prints, loop sheets, and P&IDs
- Associate degree or higher in a related I&E field with 3+ years of practical experience in refining, petrochemical, or chemical industry-based R&D
- OR 3+ years of Instrumentation, Electrical, or Analyzer experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or agriculture facility
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
- Ability to work in confined spaces and climb stairs or ladders
- Availability to work scheduled or unscheduled hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of DCS experience (preferably Honeywell C300)
- 5+ years of Instrumentation and Electrical experience
- SAP experience
- Experience as a Mechanical or Soft Craftsman
- Multi-craft certifications
- Experience with RCA, Cause Mapping, or Failure Mode Cause Analysis
- Ability to create P&IDs in AutoCAD
