R&D Chemist

Responsibilities

• Carry out R&D work on new products, improvements to existing formulations, and the evaluation of new and alternative raw materials
• Originate and maintain medical device technical documentation in accordance with scheduled updates and new requirements
• Perform technical service work, including processing samples and communicating results effectively with customers
• Carry out all work in accordance with the Quality Management System (QMS) to agreed timelines and specifications
• Provide absence and holiday cover for the manufacturing QC function as required
• Attend QC meetings, produce data on test results, and work on technical improvements in production processes
• Represent the department at meetings and present data on project progress and test results

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent in chemistry or a related discipline (essential)
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Strong attention to detail, perseverance, and patience

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant industrial experience
• Knowledge and experience in chemical formulation
