About the role
Responsibilities
- Own prototype delivery and quality to support efficient product development and manufacturing
- Set up 3D printers, including loading materials, filling resin cassettes, and scheduling jobs across multiple technologies
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams using CAD models in Creo or Solidworks
- Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on additive manufacturing equipment
- Execute post-processing tasks such as media blasting, sanding, and general assembly
- Troubleshoot equipment and print issues to ensure optimal machine performance
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S standards
Requirements
- Associates degree in a technical area such as engineering, design (CAD), or a related field
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair 3D printing equipment
- Working knowledge of computer hardware and troubleshooting related to printing systems
- Basic knowledge of engineering drawings, CAD models, and measurement methods
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, and Word)
- Understanding of computer networking concepts applicable to printing operations
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 or more years of experience with 3D printing in a manufacturing or engineering setting
- Stratasys certification (Level 2 or higher)
- Familiarity with FDM, PolyJet, and resin-based technologies (DLP, CLIP, SLA)
- Basic CAD skills for model interrogation and manipulation
- In-depth knowledge of materials used in additive manufacturing
