About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-level expertise on reinforcing fillers for elastomers, utilizing state-of-the-art research and supplier technical visits.
  • Lead the approval process for new raw materials by defining requirements, challenging suppliers, and analyzing technical and industrial impacts.
  • Co-design technical specifications in collaboration with materials, production, and purchasing teams.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing plants regarding raw material non-conformities or deviations.
  • Contribute to supplier progress in areas of performance, sustainability, and quality.
  • Lead an internal global network of experts to disseminate best practices and strengthen collective competence.
  • Qualify innovative solutions, specifically focusing on sustainable fillers such as recycled carbon black and bio-sourced silica.

Requirements

  • Master's degree (Bac+5) in Materials Science, Chemistry, or Polymer Engineering.
  • 5 to 10 years of professional experience in elastomers or composites, specifically regarding raw materials, analytical characterization, or formulation.
  • Deep technical expertise in essential fillers, specifically carbon black and silica.
  • Strong technical leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with suppliers, material designers, and production sites.
  • Fluency in English to operate effectively in an international context.
