Ratings Associate

Responsibilities

• Support Credit Rating Analysts in the assignment and monitoring of credit ratings across a range of industries and markets
• Analyze financial statements, market developments, company disclosures and industry trends to assess credit quality and risk
• Prepare financial models, forecasts and analytical materials used throughout the rating process
• Draft rating committee memoranda and participate in rating committee discussions
• Contribute to the production and publication of credit research reports and market commentary
• Monitor issuers, industries and macroeconomic developments to identify potential impacts on creditworthiness
• Support investor and issuer engagement activities, including preparing presentations and meeting materials
• Utilize digital, automation and artificial intelligence-enabled tools to improve analytical efficiency

Requirements

• Relevant work experience, internships or academic projects in finance, accounting, economics, or credit analysis
• Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong academic background equivalent to a Master’s degree (MSc or MBA) in Finance, Economics, or Accounting

Preferred Qualifications

• CFA professional qualification
• Experience with data analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Experience with Python, SQL, or financial modelling concepts
• Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts
