Ratings Associate

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day credit analysis including reviewing financial statements, building financial forecasts, and writing analytical commentary.
• Assist with proprietary models and identify data trends to form well-reasoned credit conclusions.
• Prepare first drafts of rating committee memos in collaboration with Lead Analysts.
• Contribute to core research such as credit opinions, sector comments, and press releases.
• Engage with issuers directly for follow-up clarification and information.
• Maintain analytical databases and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Moody’s methodologies.
• Support investor outreach by preparing presentation materials and attending briefings.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of relevant working experience in credit analysis or a related field.
• Strong understanding of the banking sector and credit markets.
• Fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English.
• Minimum of an undergraduate degree.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree (Masters or MBA).
• Professional certifications such as CFA or CPA.
• Knowledge of other Asian languages.
