Range Systems Supervisor - Communications & Timing

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for personnel responsible for operating and maintaining Communications and Timing systems at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station
• Manage staff scheduling, including work assignments, training, vacations, overtime, and shift rotations
• Ensure mission equipment is maintained according to the Integrated Organizational and Depot Maintenance Plan (IODMP)
• Oversee the setup and operation of mission equipment to ensure all requirements are met per mission documentation
• Monitor system performance during operations and facilitate the expeditious resolution of anomalies during launch operations
• Oversee training to ensure qualified personnel are available in accordance with the OMQP Program
• Manage engineering tasks assigned to Range Systems Communication technicians and System Maintenance Engineers
• Drive process improvements to enhance the quality, efficiency, and timeliness of work centers and services

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, a Technical Discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years of experience working with communications systems
• General knowledge of Communications and Timing subsystems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
• Ability to obtain 8140 certification within six months of hire
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License and valid U.S. Passport (or ability to obtain one)

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Communications and Timing systems employed on the Eastern Range
• Previous experience with Eastern Range operations and maintenance
• Experience working within a collective bargaining unit environment
• Experience with Eastern Range project integration
