Range Systems Section Manager - Weather Operations and Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct personnel responsible for operating and maintaining meteorological systems to support Space Force Range operations
• Manage personnel in compliance with company policy and the Transport Workers Union (TWU) Collective Bargaining Agreement
• Oversee training and ensure all personnel are qualified to execute responsibilities in accordance with the Enterprise Qualification Requirement (EQR) program
• Create work assignments and manage duty hours to ensure mission requirements and schedules are met without compromising safety
• Ensure mission equipment is properly maintained according to the Integrated Organizational and Depot Maintenance Plan (IODMP)
• Monitor system performance and facilitate the expeditious resolution of anomalies during launch operations
• Develop and maintain procedures and work instructions in accordance with contract requirements
• Participate in engineering project design reviews, integration, and acceptance testing

Requirements

• BS degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric or Environmental Sciences, or a related technical discipline
• 8+ years of Range Systems or Operations experience
• 4+ years of management or supervisory experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
• U.S. citizenship
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Universal Documentation System (UDS) process
• Experience with Eastern Range operations and maintenance
• Experience managing or supervising union personnel
• Experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures
