Range Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and upkeep of ranges, equipment, and facilities to ensure safe and reliable operations.
• Maintain live fire facilities and equipment, including battery-operated, pneumatic, and static steel systems.
• Promote a safe work environment by adhering to all Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Quality Assurance (QA) policies.
• Conduct safety range cleaning procedures, reviews, and walkthroughs of all operational areas.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting system issues in coordination with the O&M utilities team.
• Ensure all range equipment and consumable materials are properly stocked and on-hand.
• Assist in the development of testing concepts and follow detailed tasks directed by the Facilities Manager.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in range maintenance or a related field.
• 24-hour HAZWOPER certification (or ability to obtain) and completion of annual refresher training.
• Knowledge of and ability to comply with Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) requirements.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods in various weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Experience or certifications with heavy equipment, such as front-end loaders, skid steers, or backhoes.
