Railway Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Create and update electrical diagrams including wiring, power, and controls
• Manage wiring diagrams for harnesses and connections
• Verify electrical diagrams for technical and normative compliance
• Develop synoptic diagrams for system overviews
• Update schematic lists for connectors, terminals, devices, and cables
• Define preliminary cable segregation in harnesses for integration optimization
• Prepare documentary packages for detailed electrical design
• Write and follow technical specifications for electrical products such as circuit breakers, relays, and contactors
• Design or update electrical cabinet specifications
• Define specifications for complex electrical systems including switches, lights, and converters
• Consult and follow up with suppliers for component selection and delivery compliance
• Validate technical data sheets and prototypes from subcontractors

Requirements

• Engineering degree in electrotechnics, electrical engineering, or embedded systems
• 3 to 5 years of experience in electrical design (railway, aerospace, or heavy industry preferred)
• Knowledge of railway standards (EN 50126, EN 50128, etc.) and RAMS functional safety processes
• Proficiency in electrical design for trains and electromechanics
• Experience with cable routing, grounding, and EMC
• Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD (CATIA, E3, or equivalent)
• Fluency in French and technical English
