Railroad Crossing Technician

Responsibilities

• Apply vegetation control treatments at railroad crossings to contract specifications
• Fill trucks with water/chemical mix and safely operate spray trucks
• Perform weed eating and chainsaw work as needed
• Pull and roll up 300–500 feet of hose multiple times per day
• Safely drive between railroad crossings and spray 8–10 crossings daily
• Call MTM for daily job briefings and complete end-of-day paperwork
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 21+ years of age with valid driver's license and 5+ years clean driving history
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, and federal background check
• Ability to travel 1-3 weeks at a time with flexible schedule including weekends/nights
• Must comply with company drug and alcohol policy

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior Hi-Rail or vegetation spray industry experience
• Commercial Pesticide Applicator's License (or willingness to earn one after hire)
