Railroad Crossing Technician

Responsibilities

• Fill trucks with water/chemical mix for vegetation control treatments
• Perform weed eating with industrial equipment and chainsaw work (16" bar minimum)
• Pull and roll up 300–500 feet of hose up to 32 times per day
• Spray 8–10 railroad crossings daily to contract specifications
• Safely drive and operate spray trucks between crossings
• Call MTM for daily job briefings and complete end-of-day paperwork
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 21+ years of age
• Valid driver's license with at least 5 years of clean driving history
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, and federal background check
• Ability to travel 1–3 weeks at a time (home weekends except for 2–3 weeks per season)
• Flexible schedule to accommodate 10–12-hour shifts, weekends, or nights as needed
• Compliance with company drug and alcohol policy
