Railroad Crossing Technician

Responsibilities

• Apply vegetation control treatments at railroad crossings per contract specifications
• Fill trucks with water/chemical mix and safely operate spray trucks between crossings
• Perform minor weed eating with an industrial weed eater and chainsaw work (16" bar minimum)
• Pull and roll up 300–500 feet of hose up to 32 times per day
• Spray 8–10 railroad crossings daily
• Call MTM for daily job briefings and complete end-of-day paperwork
• Travel 1–3 weeks at a time with weekend returns (DCS provides hotel and per diem)

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 21+ years of age
• Valid driver's license with at least 5 years of clean driving history
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, and federal background check
• Willingness to travel 1–3 weeks at a time and work flexible hours including weekends or nights
• Compliance with company drug and alcohol policy
