Railroad Crossing Technician

Responsibilities

• Fill trucks with water/chemical mix
• Perform minor weed eating with an industrial weed eater and chainsaw work (16" bar minimum)
• Pull and roll up 300–500 feet of hose up to 32 times per day
• Spray 8–10 railroad crossings daily
• Safely drive and operate spray trucks between crossings
• Call MTM for daily job briefings
• Complete required end-of-day paperwork

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 21+ years of age or older
• Valid driver's license with at least 5 years clean driving history
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, and federal background check
• Ability to travel away from home for 4–6 weeks at a time
• Flexible schedule with possible weekend or night work

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior Hi-Rail or vegetation spray industry experience
• Commercial Pesticide Applicator's License (pay increase available after hire)
