Rail Systems Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall coordination, integration, and delivery of all rail systems across all project stages.
• Oversee multidisciplinary rail systems including signalling (ATC/CBTC), telecommunications, traction power, SCADA, OCC systems, rolling stock, and platform systems.
• Ensure full integration between rail systems, airport interfaces, passenger systems, and operational interfaces.
• Manage systems integration activities and coordinate interfaces between civil, architectural, MEP, and railway systems.
• Lead Systems Engineering coordination, including requirements management, interface management, verification, and validation.
• Coordinate the preparation and review of Design and Construct tender documentation and technical specifications.
• Support testing and commissioning activities including FAT, SAT, SIT, and trial operations.
• Identify and manage technical, operational, and integration risks associated with rail systems delivery.

Requirements

• Relevant Engineering Degree from a recognized University.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the AECO industry.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in rail projects and/or rail operations (Dubai, GCC, or international).
• Extensive knowledge of rail systems integration for large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary systems including signalling, communications, traction power, and rolling stock.
• Proven expertise in Systems Engineering principles (requirements management, interface management, V&V).

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification or membership with a recognized engineering or railway institution.
• Experience with airport integration, passenger systems, and baggage handling integration for express railway services.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
