Rail Network Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor loaded railcars from origin to destination and manage empty returns
• Identify, escalate, and resolve logistics exceptions and delays
• Utilize cloud-based tracking systems to monitor railcar movement and provide stakeholder updates
• Communicate with railroads via phone and email to troubleshoot issues and log delays
• Ensure railcars follow correct routes and arrive at destinations on schedule
• Maintain understanding of bill of lading, way billing, and railroad terminology
• Present information and updates to both internal and external business partners

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in rail operations or logistics coordination
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple competing priorities
• Strong mechanical aptitude and decision-making skills
• High attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, or a related field
