Radiology Veterinary Assistant

Responsibilities

• Operate Quantum X-ray machines and PAC’s system
• Abide by all radiation safety policies and procedures per OSHA
• Appropriately restrain patients for radiographs and ultrasounds
• Ensure cleanliness and comfort of patients in radiology
• Communicate changes in patient behavior to doctors and technicians
• Greet clients and transport patients to and from radiology
• Maintain cleanliness of radiology department and corridors
• Perform accurate record keeping and data entry including client charges
• Assist in ICU/ES with patients, cleaning, and restocking
• Assist with admits, transfers, and discharge of patients

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of work experience, preferably in a similar position
• Animal handling experience and ability to restrain all species
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to remain composed in stressful and emergency situations
• Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills
• Ability to follow detailed protocols
