Radiology Technologist

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment and perform diagnostic x-rays on patients as ordered by the physician
• Assist in preparing operating and procedure rooms
• Document radiation duration, equipment testing, and x-ray apron integrity
• Maintain all necessary documentation, logs, and equipment reports for radiology services
• Demonstrate competence in x-ray and fluoroscopy technologist skills
• Select exposure factors and position patients to produce high-quality images
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and manage required maintenance and calibration
• Assemble supplies and positioning aids according to physician preference cards
• Practice radiation safety for self and patients, adhering to protection principles
• Maintain safety, environmental, and infection control standards

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology
• Radiology Technologist license as required by State
• ARRT certification as required by State
• BLS certification as required by individual ASC policy

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of one year fluoroscopy experience
