Radiology Technologist

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in performing various interventional radiology procedures
• Prepare patient procedure rooms, including stocking supplies and cleaning equipment
• Explain procedures to patients and address their concerns and questions
• Act as a scrub assistant during interventional procedures while maintaining sterile techniques
• Operate and perform quality control on radiological equipment, including C-Arm and Ultrasound
• Process and archive x-ray images to comply with medical record regulations
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure all necessary instruments are available
• Act as Radiation Safety Officer by monitoring radiation badges and conducting safety in-services
• Ensure accurate patient billing by reviewing procedures and verifying CPT and ICD9 codes

Requirements

• High School Diploma required (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• Current ARRT Certification and/or State Licensure
• BLS certification
• Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and universal precautions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and assist with patient transfers
• Ability to stand in a protective apron for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Interventional Radiology certificate
• 4–6 years of related experience
• Experience with interventional equipment and procedure-specific supply management
