About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality radiologic exams following established standards and practices
  • Ensure superior patient care while minimizing radiation doses using the ALARA principle
  • Prepare and position patients of all ages, from birth to geriatrics
  • Review patient orders for appropriate demographics and coding
  • Document pertinent patient information for Radiologists and Bone Densitometries
  • Use CoActiv Picture Archive & Communication system (PACS) for reviewing images and reports
  • Maintain equipment according to quality maintenance programs and follow QI policies
  • Maintain knowledge of current coding, OSHA, ACR, and ARRT regulations
  • Perform cardiac monitor testing, including training for Holter and wireless event monitoring

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited program for professional Radiologic Technology
  • Current ARRT registration and CT license
  • 1+ years of experience as a Radiographic Technologist
  • Ability to maintain continuous medical education credits for Radiography registration
  • Valid Driver's License and access to reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bone Densitometry certification
  • 3+ years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Experience working with electronic health records (EMR) such as Allscripts or EPIC
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
