Radiology Student Technologist

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic or therapeutic radiological procedures within the scope of practice and departmental standards under direct supervision.
• Assess pertinent patient information and prepare/educate patients regarding procedures and expectations.
• Complete accurate documentation of patient care and procedures.
• Utilize hospital information systems, technology, and departmental equipment.
• Maintain productivity, adaptability, and timeliness to meet patient care and department needs.
• Adhere to all department policies, procedures, and modality-specific safety protocols.
• Actively engage in departmental meetings, modality meetings, and committee initiatives.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an education program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
• Must be in the senior year of the radiography program.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Ability to work under the direct supervision of an ARRT registered Technologist at all times.
