Responsibilities

• Performs screening mammography exams including positioning, compression, and equipment adjustment
• Obtains and reviews medical histories and addresses patient concerns
• Analyzes images for quality and identifies abnormalities
• Collaborates with radiologists to provide accurate interpretations and reports
• Practices ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure
• Maintains accurate patient records and adheres to regulatory guidelines
• Performs daily quality control on mammography equipment and maintains QC logs
• Ensures cleanliness and safety of the procedure room following infection control protocols

Requirements

• Graduate of an ARRT-approved radiologic technology program
• Current ARRT (R) and ARRT (M) registration in good standing
• Current BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association)
• 2+ years of dedicated experience in Mammography and DEXA
• Current California CRT certificate in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology
• Valid California Mammography Technologist Certificate
• Ability to maintain 24 Category A CE credits every two years

Preferred Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Bone Densitometry (BD)
