Radiological Control Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform full range of RCT support activities including planning and resource coordination
• Serve as authorized subject matter expert for development of radiological work control packages (RWCPs)
• Ensure radiological controls are correctly applied for high-hazard radiological work
• Coordinate work area resources to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Fulfill customer radiation protection requests while following established priorities
• Resolve problems and anticipate unforeseen issues in dynamic conditions
• Demonstrate excellence in safety and compliance to co-workers and customers

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 2+ years of relevant experience supporting radiological activities and facilities
• Experience applying operational health physics to work
• U.S. citizenship required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
• Ability to meet moderate physical demands including lifting 50 lbs and carrying 35 lbs
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment including respiratory protection
• Ability to work outdoors and on rotating shifts or weekends
• Ability to use stairways, fixed ladders, and ladders up to six feet
