About the role

Responsibilities

  • Take high-quality images as requested by ordering providers by positioning patients and adjusting equipment.
  • Instruct patients regarding procedures and observe vital signs to ensure patient safety.
  • Follow prescribed safety standards in operating radiologic equipment and select appropriate radiation exposure.
  • Examine radiologic images for properties such as density, contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion.
  • Perform quality control on DR/CR machines and ensure all necessary information is available for the Radiologist.
  • Operate C-Arm equipment to assist physicians with various procedures, including injections and surgeries.
  • Assist in the ASC procedure room by preparing supplies, maintaining sterile fields, and documenting procedure details.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the Radiology room and equipment in accordance with infection control procedures.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Current student or recent graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiological Technology.
  • Ability to obtain ARRT certification within one year.
  • Ability to obtain a Washington state license within one year.
