Responsibilities
- Operate radiologic equipment to produce radiographs (X-rays) for diagnostic purposes
- Position patients appropriately and adjust immobilization devices for optimum views
- Adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors based on radiographic protocols
- Practice radiation protection techniques using beam restrictive devices and patient shielding
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, patients, and families
- Perform laboratory patient testing, specimen collection, and reporting as assigned
- Maintain laboratory instruments, safety equipment, and records according to policy
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- One year of radiologic/imaging experience
- Experience and training in CT
- Registered CT Technologist
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- CPR certification
- Current State licensure from TDH
