Radiologic Technologist

Responsibilities

• Operate radiologic equipment to produce X-rays for diagnostic purposes
• Position patients appropriately and adjust immobilization devices for optimum views
• Set exposure factors including time and distance based on radiographic protocols
• Practice radiation protection techniques using beam restrictive devices and patient shielding
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and families to provide patient care
• Perform laboratory patient testing, specimen collection, and reporting
• Maintain laboratory instruments, safety equipment, and records according to policy
• Maintain laboratory work surfaces and follow disinfection protocols

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
• One year of radiologic/imaging experience
• Experience and training in CT
• Registered CT Technologist
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
• CPR certification
• Current State licensure from TDH
