Radio Station Intern

Responsibilities

• Help plan and execute radio station events alongside programming, promotions, and sales staff
• Assist talent and staff with the production of on-air programming, including shows, station imaging, and commercials
• Represent the stations as a brand ambassador at events as a host or support staff
• Coordinate station marketing and promotional materials, including event equipment and merchandise
• Create and distribute engaging social media content during live events
• Promote station events and contests across websites and social media platforms
• Interact with listeners professionally via phone, online, and in person
• Populate internal and external station event and promotional calendars
• Drive station vehicles in and around listening areas
• Perform various administrative duties as needed

Requirements

• Currently attending college and must receive course credit for the internship
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record
• Ability to lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of social media platforms
• Outgoing personality with a positive attitude and high work ethic

Binnie Media is a multi-platform media company providing digital, outdoor, radio, and TV services. Our internship program is designed to provide undergraduate students with hands-on experience in radio station programming, promotions, marketing, and production, offering insight into technical aspects like recording and editing as well as the sales side of the industry.
